Something For the Moms, A Shoe Giveaway!

Lately I have been looking around at children's clothes, an ergo baby carrier and other baby and toddler items on eBay. A big change from the days when I would be looking at Christian Louboutin Shoes.

I didn't have any luck with the baby carrier, but I did find this 3 piece GAP outfit and so far the bid for it is only 99 cents! I know that there are still 2 days left in this auction, but chances are it will still be a decent price at the end of the auction. OR will it? Sometimes the shipping costs are outrageous, but in this case it is quite reasonable.

People always tell me about the great deals they get on eBay, and I have looked, but never bid. How about you? Have you gotten any amazing deals? I love hearing about bargains and it might give me that little push I need to jump on the online auction bandwagon.

This brings me to the shoe giveaway details! Don't get too excited, I am not giving away wearable shoes. I know, I miss shopping for shoes too. Since becoming a mom I haven't had the opportunity to shop for my favorite pre-mommy things to shop for. Sometimes moms get wrapped up in buying stuff for the kids and forget about themselves. That's why I am giving away cookies in the shape of shoes! (Something to enjoy with a nice cup of tea after the kiddies go to bed) Two and a half pairs and perhaps a dress to make it a half dozen cookies. The picture above is an example of what they are. One large shoe, a pair of smaller ones, a mini pair, and probably a matching dress. They will probably be a different design though, as I will order a fresh box of cookies when the winner is announced. The ones you see in the picture were eaten shortly after the picture was taken. ;)

To enter, all you have to do is:
  • Leave a comment on this post of your favorite thing to shop for, or an amazing deal that you have gotten. It doesn't have to be on eBay, it can be from anywhere.
*Please remember to leave your contact information (e-mail address) or a blog link so I can contact you if you win.
  • Deadline to enter is Thursday, August 6th, 2009 at 6:00 p.m. (recorded by the comment time stamp)
  • The winner will be chosen at http://www.random.org/ and announced the day after the contest closing.
Good luck!

I used to shop exclusively on ebay for my little girl. I could find the best brands that were in perfect condition. I was able to get screaming deals, but it was rather time consuming. I don't spend nearly as much time on ebay now that I have a second child.

one time I bought some of the more expensive brands of yarn at joanns, because an ad said they were selling for a dollar or two, turns out I was mistaken b/c it needed to be a certain kind under that brand...the girl ended up ringing it for the deal anyway! that was awesome!

Oh how I miss shoe shopping! Being six months prego, it's kinda pointless to buy any now. My feet are a size bigger than normal and it's too hot to waer anything but flip-flops anyway!

I like shopping for everything! Clothes, electronics and housewares. The best deal I got was for an 8 pc set of Anchor Hocking rectangular glass storage ware for $6.99! It came with 2 casserole style dishes w/o the handles and 2 smaller ones! Its great for bringing a complete meal to work and comfortably cutting things up.
